FTW BRC Round 2

Not every race ends with a victory for you, but that doesn’t mean the experience isn’t worth it. April 21, 2024, was another incredible day at the Batangas Racing Circuit for Full Throttle Weekend (FTW), and while I didn’t take home the win this time, the day was still packed with unforgettable moments, support, and excitement. Sometimes, racing isn’t just about crossing the finish line first—it’s about pushing yourself, being part of something bigger, and celebrating your friends’ successes.

This time, I got to witness one of my closest friends take first place in Race 1 Class with his Toyota Supra, and I couldn’t have been more proud. Even though the win wasn’t mine this time, it felt just as rewarding to see my friend’s hard work pay off. And with my team’s full support all day long, it was another experience I wouldn’t trade for anything.

A Different Kind of Thrill

The build-up to FTW April 21, 2024 was just as intense as the last time. But this event had a different feel to it. There were more cars, more competition, and a bigger crowd—but what stayed the same was the sense of camaraderie, the electric atmosphere, and the passion for motorsports that filled the air. It was a race weekend like no other.

This time around, I wasn’t just focused on the race. I was more focused on supporting my friends, my team, and watching the other drivers push their limits. Racing isn’t just about individual glory—it’s about the community, the team behind you, and the friends who are right there with you every step of the way.

Race Day: A Day of Support and Focus

As I rolled into the Batangas Racing Circuit with my ZL1, I could already feel the energy building. The stands were packed, the paddocks were busy with teams prepping their cars, and everyone was ready to go. My ZL1 was primed and ready to hit the track, but this time, I wasn’t going to let the pressure get to me. I had my sights set on doing my best, but I was just as excited to be there for my friend and my team.

From the moment the first race started, I was fully immersed in the action, cheering my friend on as he made his way to the front of the pack in his Toyota Supra. The guy has been grinding for years, and seeing him put in that work and finally get the win was one of the most rewarding experiences I could ask for. Watching him dominate Race 1 Class and cross the finish line in first place was a highlight of the day. I was proud of him, no doubt about it.

Supporting My Team: It’s a Collective Effort

Throughout the day, my team had my back every step of the way. From car adjustments to moral support, we were all in this together. The energy was high in the pits as we prepped for my race, but there was a sense of unity in the air. The best part about being part of a team is that no matter the outcome, we all share in the highs and lows together. The win may not have been mine, but the support and positive vibes from my crew made the day feel like a success.

When it was finally my turn to hit the track, I was ready. Even though I didn’t win this time, I gave it my all. I pushed my ZL1 hard, attacked every corner, and raced with the focus I always bring to the track. Sometimes it’s not about the results, but about improving as a driver and pushing your limits. I might not have claimed a podium spot, but the satisfaction of knowing I gave it my best, along with the thrill of racing at Batangas, made it all worth it.

Celebrating the Victories of Others

At the end of the day, it was hard to wipe the smile off my face, even though I wasn’t holding a trophy. Watching my friend take first place in Race 1 Class was like winning in its own right. Seeing all the hard work and effort pay off for him was a reminder of why we all race in the first place—to push ourselves, to improve, and to enjoy the ride.

Racing is never just about who crosses the finish line first—it’s about the shared experiences, the moments of growth, and the friendships we make along the way. My friend’s victory was a testament to the power of hard work, and seeing it in person made the entire day unforgettable.

A Day to Remember

Even though the race didn’t end with me on the podium, April 21, 2024, was still a day full of amazing memories. I’m grateful to be part of a community that supports each other, that celebrates every victory—whether it’s yours or someone else’s—and that understands what it means to truly race with passion.

The energy at FTW April 21 was something special, and I can’t wait to be back on that track again. I’m already looking ahead to the next challenge, ready to improve, and, of course, ready to cheer on my friends and team members. Whether I win or lose, the experience, the friendships, and the joy of racing are what make it all worthwhile.

Conclusion

Every race is a chance to grow, to learn, and to experience something new. FTW April 21, 2024, reminded me that racing isn’t always about winning—it’s about pushing yourself and being there for the people who matter. From supporting my friend to racing alongside my team, this event was another unforgettable chapter in my motorsport journey.

Here’s to the next race—win or lose, I’ll be there, doing what I love and continuing to make memories with the best crew and the best friends anyone could ask for. See you on the track!
